Play by Play of the results show

We are going to do a play by play. Let's start with the beginning of the night. Group number went back to some weird choreography - they obviously didn't learn from the good Idol Gives Back night. Kristy was flat in that opening number. Syesha can hit the high notes but is tinny. Then watching back the numbers from last night. It solidified my thoughts from last night.

Love the Simon moment with Carly when she said, nicely (not in a defensive tone) that she thinks he is hard on her -- he expects more and so do I. He knows she can do it and so do I. Fingers crossed she gets another chance. Kristy called Simon a butt -- is that appropriate? Not classy. Glad they mixed up the results thing up. So Jason and Carly on one side and David Cook and Kristy on the other. I don't know what that means.

Elliot Yamin comes out. God he has a great voice. Not so into the facial hair, but the teeth are much better. Wow, he lost his Mom who had cancer when he was on the show. That must cut deep into David Cook right now.

Back to results. are they going to make someone choose what team to be on? Idol loves that trick. So Syesha goes to Jason and Carly -- I think that might be the bottom three! Geez. Brooke comes out, if she says something I will tell her to shut it. I said shut it! Don't call upon the vegetarians when calling out Simon's hamburger without the burger comment. She is sent to David Cook and Kristy. David Archuleta -- today I was reading another blog (I know but I have to read the competition!) and it is on EW so I consider them professionals, and this blog gets tons of comments, unlike mine. Apparently in this line of comments, David Archuleta is referred to as David Gaspuleta -- I was rolling on the floor!

Back from break and to Q&A time which I actually enjoy. Ryan gets to be his radio persona and he loves it. Simon saying his first album was Paula Abdul, so funny. Then there was the stalker call -- the girl with messages for each contestant. And the viewer who questioned how Simon describes performances -- theme park vs karaoke vs cruise ship. David Cook is now a stud -- one caller asked if he was single. That is funny. Who thought the comb over king would get the Idol makeover and become cute?

Mariah was cute and sang fine but I just don't listen to her music anymore. Between Touch My Body and this other song, just not into it. Hope she has another hit in this album.

Okay, so back to the results. One side is David C, Kristy and Brooke and the other is Syesha, Carly and Jason. David A is called out and he is gasping (hee hee). David A is safe. AND THEN David Cook swaps with Syesha so maybe the bottom three is Syesha, Kristy and Brooke (as I hoped for!!!!!) The tension is killing me. Now Ryan is going to make David A choose the side that is safe. Why do they do this? And inevitably, he sits in the middle. WOO HOO!!! David Cook, Carly and Jason Castro are SAFE!! I am jumping up and down. Andrew Lloyd Webber is the judge next week -- must be show tunes week. (That isn't why I'm jumping up and down, okay I do love show tunes but I don't liek Andrew Lloyd Webber show tunes).

So it is Brooke ,Syesha and Kristy. I don't care who goes. Oh thank god Carly is safe (I assumed David C, David A and Jason would be). She has got to step it up next week. Will it be only Andrew Lloyd Webber show tunes or any show tunes? What should she do? Ugggh maybe that Chess song? Oh but that is a duet. Or is there a Jesus Christ Superstar song? Oh god the break is over.

Person to safety is Syesha -- okay -- she can sing better than those two although she is Ramy's friend. Brooke, she still can't stop talking -- don't yell at Simon for saying it is Kristy's time to go. SHUT IT. These two are both back talkers and need to go. "She's my friend" Whatever Brooke ,that doesn't mean she should stay -- have you ever watched this show before? It is not called Who are Brooke's friends? It is called American Idol and Simon is the judge. SHUT IT. Now I want Brooke to go. Nationwide vote, etc, etc, Brooke is staying. Yeah, why don't you swap places with your friend, crybaby?

Look Kristy redeemed herself. At least she can go out not being as hated as she was. She sang well for the past few weeks. She couldn't win, but at least America didn't keep on wondering how she ever got there. God I still can't stand this Ruben song. What does Celebrate Me Home mean?

She still has her sense of humor -- singing to Simon -- good for her. She can be the Kellie Pickler of the season getting to do hosting duties and such, but be less annoying than Kellie was. She made Simon blush. "All of my life only for the comment from you" -- quick and sharp. You know what Kristy? I wish Brooke had gone home or Syesha. Because you are funny - I think we could have been friends.

I could be a sportscaster. But I will stick to Idol until the baseball season get farther along... Good night all, no surprises this week. Now, onto show tunes...and remember...
